Are new homes as well-built as older homes?
While there are many benefits to purchasing an older, more established home, the benefits of a new home are equally appealing. Built with the structural amenities, water and energy conservation features, and technological capabilities that older homes would require costly modifications to meet or exceed, newer homes offer a greater operational cost savings. Construction materials improve constantly, and new homes benefit from the improved efficiency and livability provided by better insulations, appliances, flooring options, and technological amenities to name a few. Additionally, many new home communities are designed with a master plan—ideally locating neighborhoods closer to amenities such as schools, recreation, entertainment, and commute routes.
